The U.S. Is Easing Some Cuba Travel Restrictions
Beach vacay in Cuba!!!
The US is going to loosen travel restrictions to Cuba, which will allow for more people, mainly religious and education groups, to travel to the island.
US citizens will also be able to send up to $500 every three months to any Cuban who isn’t connected to the government.
This is fabulous news! Hopefully [...]
It had nothing to do with the quality of the project!
Although a few networks have turned down The Kennedys miniseries with an all-star cast, Showtime Networks president of entertainment David Nevins claims that it had nothing to do with how good the movie was.
He said:
“It wasn’t Showtime. I looked seriously at it, and thought it was well acted, well made and very watchable. What it really came down to was that it didn’t feel Showtime. It didn’t feel like premium cable. I have great respect and love for [Kennedys creator] Joel Surnow. He’s got a great cast. It didn’t fundamentally feel us. My vow coming in was to focus on renewable resources, and series are renewable resources.I was hired to be the steward of this brand and bring the brand to the next phase of its existence. I felt it was not Showtime.”
Wow. We heard it the first time! Guess it wasn't A LOT of networks!

Michael Douglas Back In Court To Face Ex
It has been a messy split for Michael Douglas and his ex, Diandra Douglas, even though they split quite a few years ago.
In the divorce, it was said that Diandra would be getting a portion of what Michael has earned in movies he did during their marriage.
That's the reason why Michael can't figure out [...]
The good news is she's gotten the help she needed to overcome all of those dark feelings she had last year and she's now a better person for it.
Demi Lovato is taking her struggle and turning it into inspiration for other girls like her. As she is now out of rehab, Demi is getting involved in projects that not only challenge her creatively, but also allow her to reach out to her fans in a positive way.
One of those projects is her new role as a contributing editor for Seventeen Magazine. Last week, she did a quick Q&A for the mag's website about what she's been going through, but this week, she's the cover story for the upcoming issue. In her interview she reveals the harrowing ordeal she went through and how the people she loved the most stepped in to help her. She explained:
âI basically had a nervous breakdown. I was really bad off. My parents and manager pulled me aside and said, âYou need to get some help.â It was an intervention. I wanted freedom from the inner demons. I wanted to start my life over.â
And so, she did and she is better off for it.
So strong. So tough. We continue to feel such pride in knowing how hard things were for her, yet how brave she was to do what so many others are afraid to do - face the demons.
Good for you, Demi! You know you always have us in your corner.

Last night David and I made our way to the Hollywood Palladium to see the superstar DJ Girl Talk live in concert. I got turned on to Girl Talk last year when he released his album All Day free online and I was very curious to see what his live show would be like. Basically, it’s like a big party where all of your fave songs get played and mashed together. I wouldn’t say it was the best concert I’ve ever been to but it deffo was a fun time.
Essentially, the sold out audience at the Palladium paid to hear a DJ play songs all night long … which doesn’t sound all that interesting but the songs that were played and the way they were mashed up with other songs was, at the very least, inventive and fun. I was most impressed by the mash-up of Kelly Clarkson‘s Since U Been Gone on top of the throbbing guitar riff from the Nine Inch Nails song Wish. Every single person was dancing last night … and that is the sign of a great show. David is not a fan of concerts but he had fun so … yeah, I’m glad we went to the show.
Tonight is a night off for me, as I have concerts every other night all week long. I’m planning on seeing Duran Duran tomorrow night then Oh Land & OMD on Friday night and then Good Charlotte on Saturday night. We may see a movie tonight but … we may also just stay in to recuperate. Happy Tuesday!!

Miley Cyrus Gets Immortalized In Wax
Earlier this week we saw photos of Brad Pitt and his eldest sons Maddox Chivan and Pax Thien at the NYC premiere of his new film Megamind. Well, as soon as that premiere was over, Brad and the boys hopped on a plane and flew their bums back to Budapest, Hungary so that they could reunite with the rest of the family. Here are a few fun photos of Brad and Angelina Jolie with their children Pax, Zahara Marley and Shiloh Nouvel at a very fun-looking park in Budapest earlier today:
Um … this looks like the COOLEST PARK EVER! None of the parks that I played in as a kid or have seen as an adult anywhere I’ve been looks as amazing as this park. In the US, parks are no longer allowed to have really tall slides or any equipment that can cause injury … primarily for legal reasons. I really love that this park in Budapest has zip-lining! Amazing. I bet the Brangelina bunch had a great time … as is plainly evident on Shiloh‘s really happy and adorable face :D

R.I.P.
This is absolutely awful.
Charlotte Leatherbarrow, a 12-year-old dancer who was appearing in the Billy Elliot musical in London, was hit and killed upon impact by a double-decker bus while crossing the road near her home in South London on Thursday.
Charlotte's family described her as a "fun loving, thoughtful, caring and bubbly girl" and said in [...]
Such a powerful interview. All the more reason that this kind of behavior needs to be STOPPED.
Casey Heynes, the 15 year old boy who became the underdog's hero overnight after a video of him defending himself against a relentless bully went viral, sat down for an exclusive interview on A Current Affair tonight, and revealed, among other things, that he has been so tormented by his peers his entire that last year, he even considered killing himself.
Unbelievable. It's so frightening to think how commonplace this kind of behavior has become.
Please watch the full interview (above).
Casey is such a well-spoken, thoughtful young man, and we're so proud of him for making the right choice and standing up for himself. Hopefully, his story will serve as a wake-up call to adults, teachers, and peers and remind us all that it's our job to prevent this kind of behavior before it escalates into violence.
Casey didn't lose his life, but there are many other kids out there, alone, tormented, and confused who need the support that he is now getting.

More Gays (Not Us) Are Voting Republican Than Ever Before
And we don't blame them. (But we won't be doing that ourselves!)
We blame Obama.
The national exit polls show a staggering number of homosexual Americans voted for reps of the Republican party this year. The GOP snagged 31% of gay and lesbian voters in this midterm election, compared to the 19 percent in 2008.
