5 Questions to Ask Your Wedding Band Before You Book Them

Weddings can be as simple a ceremony as taking the vows under a tree with an elder administering the matrimonial vows or as grand as what movie stars term as "The Wedding of the Century" with trimmings of grandiose proportions with idiosyncratic features they add to the occasion so that it can be considered "one of its kind." Let us take refuge in the safe harbor of the mid-range. The ordinary and traditional couple would, of course, try to make their wedding a memorable one, to say the least, but always paranoid of the Damocles sword of...

Can You Hear Your Piano? Play the Piano by Ear

You've probably pressed a key in your MIDI keyboard and heard nothing. It's called "dead" keys and is a common occurrence in electronic keyboards. This is often caused by dirt or some sort of debris wedging itself between the contact points thereby preventing the circuit from completing itself in order to make a sound. You can repair and solve this problem yourself easily enough.

Yesterday was a different day for David and me. While most of it was a normal lazy Sunday for us, we were joined by a special little visitor for part of our late afternoon. Our dear friend Genevieve asked us to babysit her amazing baby girl Audrey for a couple of hours and we were thrilled to do it. Now, I have some babysitting experience under my belt but David has never cared for a child in his life. I am happy to report that he passed with flying colors ;)

Fortunately for us, Audrey is a dream to care for. She is the best baby ever. No crying, no fussiness … no diaper changes in our entire 2 hour babysitting stint — it was a dream! We had a great time with little Ms. Aud so, yeah, we had a great Sunday.

Our evening was a quiet one. David and I caught up with some TV and then passed out. Tonight, we are planning to go to the 3D premiere of Immortals so that should be lots of fun. Hope you’re having a great Monday!

Kitty Killed It With Madonna On X Factor!

She's crazy and kind of a novelty act, but still wholly entertaining!
Kitty Brucknell is mad for Madonna (as are we!) so we weren't surprised when she busted out Like A Prayer on the fifth week of X Factor UK.
And we have to say, she KILLED it! We love her!
Ch-ch-check out her dramatic performance above!

This is just DREADFUL!

Check out this news report on 16-year-old Kasey Landrum, a gay teen from Tennessee who was suspended from Lexington High School for wearing eye make-up, even though other punk rock kids do the same with consequence (above)!

Thankfully, after the story was caught wind of by The Tennessee Equality Project and LGBTQNation, Kasey's suspension was reversed and a new school policy, allowing all students to wear make-up, was put into place!

As it should have been!

Unless there was a strict dress code in place, which there clearly wasn't, these kids need the ability to express themselves and who they are, REGARDLESS of sexual preference!

EQUAL RIGHTS FOR ALL!

Holy shiz! Michelle Obama really knows how to SHAKE IT!

Check out the first, just-released preview clip of the First Lady's guest appearance on iCARLY, which features her seriously breaking it down with star Miranda Cosgrove during the Random Dancing! segment of the show (above)!

We are legitmately impressed, gurl, and will DEFINITELY be tuning in when this premieres!

Railroad Songs, A Rockabilly Tradition

Not all of the famous rockabilly innovators were raised in the country, but certainly many of them were. They were born at point in US history when times were very tough and grew up knowing first hand what it meant to do without. Those simple country roots shaped these young musicians and gave them a strong base upon which to build their careers.
